Thank you Thames View Crematorium

We would like to thank Thames View Crematorium in Gravesend, part of the London Cremation Company PLC, for its generous donation of £2,087.50 to Slide Away.

The money sources from a metal recycling scheme run by most crematoriums. Our most profound thanks must therefore go to the bereaved families who kindly gave their permission for their loved ones' metals, such as hip and knee replacements, to be recycled following cremation, rather than being returned to them. This is part of a national scheme run by the Institute of Cemetery and Crematorium Management (ICCM), which arranges for the saved metals to be collected and reused.

This funding will enable us to continue our work supporting bereaved families, enabling them to access the help and support they need at the time they need it. The Slide Away team offers its sincere thanks to the Crematorium, and to the families who kindly gave their permission. We are very grateful for their support.
