Slide Away currently has vacancies for the following positions:
Operations Manager
 
Slide Away is now recruiting, a home-based part-time  Operations Manager 16 hours per week, term-time only.
 
Overall duties include: Management of all employees related to the staffing and organisation of bereavement workshops. Recruitment, training, and appraisals of staff. Liaison with our Founder, Workshop Assessment Co-ordinators and Charity Administrator. Arrangement of staff meetings Prepare reports for trustees. 
 
The position would suit a person willing to work on their own initiative using the allocated hours on a flexible basis. The work is interesting and stimulating and, although organized within a framework, presents challenges, and, inter-action with a variety of people.
 
Qualifications and Education Requirements: Education to Advanced Level GCSE
 
Preferred Skills: HR experience, a good communicator. Previous experience with a training/educational organisation an advantage
 
Whilst the role is primarily home-based, travel to staff and venues within a 20-mile radius of West Kent is required. A driving licence and own vehicle is necessary. Mileage to be reimbursed at 45p per mile.
 
Salary comparable to an annual salary of £25,200 for a 35-hour 40-week annual contract.

Workshop Assistant/Volunteer
 
Slide Away is looking for volunteers/workshop assistants to work with us at our therapeutic workshops and will soon be planning its workshops and memory days for the next academic year.  Volunteers may be expected to support three or four, from 8.30am to 3.30pm on a Tuesday and from 8.30am to 4.30pm on Wednesday. You will also need to be available for a clinical supervision session, usually held on the Tuesday evening following the workshop. Ideally, you will have an educational background or have worked with children in the past, but all applications will be considered and are subject to a full DBS disclosure. Fundraising Volunteer
 
We are also looking for volunteers to help arrange fundraising events for Slide Away, such as quiz nights.  If you would be interested in helping, please contact Sharon Clancey sharon.clancey@slideaway.org.
