At the beginning of advent, on Saturday 26th November, Slide Away held its first Advent Candle Event after a few years' absence. 

The event was first held in recognition that the lead up to Christmas can be a particularly difficult time for grieving families. The event provides families with the opportunity to come together, make decorations and light an Advent Candle to remember the person who has died.

This year, we were able to welcome back a number of families which have recently been supported at one of our workshops.
