Since 2004, Slide Away has supported many thousands of Kent-based children and young people and their families before or after the death of someone close to them. We have also provided free training, guidance and support to our network of subscribed schools and other educational organisations in Kent. 

Our work would not have been possible without the help of grant-giving organisations and people like you! Whether you have offered funds or made a donation, taken on a fundraising challenge or volunteered your time, your support has enabled us to help grieving families at the most difficult time of their lives.

We want to offer a huge and heartfelt 'Thank You!' to all the individuals, grant funders, trusts, organisations and other charities who have supported our work since 2004.

Where does your money go?

£5 will cover the cost of crafting materials so that a child or young person can make something to save their memories.

£10 will pay for a memory box and decorations so that a child can keep safe their mementoes of the person who has died.

£50 will enable us to give each child in a group a book that resonates for them, reassuring them that they are not alone and that their special person can live on in their heart and memories.

£250 will allow one child or young person, and their parent or carer to receive our professional support in a monthly face to face group session.
